Our clients had found the perfect view across the marshes and River Alde to Snape Maltings but the house itself was unsuitable and failed to take advantage of the magnificent views.
Having explored options for remodelling, it proved more cost-effective to ask Stowe Building Contractors to demolish and construct a new house. This also gave the opportunity to raise the property to mitigate against the risk of flooding. Working to designs by Peter Wells Architects, we constructed a modern, thermally efficient building with large windows to the rear.
Our joinery division crafted bespoke pieces for every principal room. These included wardrobes and cupboards, storage units, bookshelves, a feature media wall and, at 2.5m, the largest sliding door we have ever made. They also made a beautiful birch staircase with inlaid brass treads.
