New apprentice starts with Stowe
For our new joinery apprentice, it is the bits you don’t see that bring him the most satisfaction. “I love how two pieces of wood can be joined in a way that is strong but hidden from view” says Ben who lives in Nacton.
Having previously joined us on placement from his Level 1 & 2 courses in Bench Joinery at Suffolk New College Ben has commenced a two-year apprenticeship in our custom joinery workshop at Marlesford where he is gaining experience in making windows and doors, fitted kitchens and other custom timber pieces for our construction projects.
“It is very important that we invest in our future workforce” said Andy Stowe, Director. “I myself started as an apprentice carpenter so I understand the value of learning from experienced people in a professional setting with the best materials and up-to-date equipment.
