Our clients bought this property at auction with plans to locate the family home to Aldeburgh. The house was very dilapidated having been untouched for nearly sixty years. We started by clearing the site of the badly overgrown garden and demolishing a small extension to the rear.
We constructed a two-story extension to the rear creating two additional bedrooms and large kitchen and dining areas with bifold doors opening to the garden. The rest of the house was internally reconfigured with new windows and doors, new wiring and the addition of underfloor heating driven by an energy-efficient air source heat pump. We added additional insulation and rendered the external walls.
Our custom joinery workshop created beautiful cupboards and wardrobes for most rooms.
To the front, we constructed a new double garage and formed the drive finishing it with a spray tar shingle treatment. To the rear, we made a new patio and paved pathways.
