Barn Conversion near Kersey
Restoration and conversion of existing farm buildings and addition of new link to create a modern family home
We identified the opportunity to develop this cluster of disused farm buildings near Kersey as a new family home with extensive grounds. We felt it was important to maintain the strikingly peaceful rural heritage of the location whilst creating a versatile home to modern environmental standards.
We cleared the site with sound parts of the existing structures retained. We built a new building to link the two original structures and rebuilt one of them. We installed a new tiled roof and completed to a high standard with new oak beams and original timbers exposed. We installed a kitchen making some cabinetry in our joinery workshop. We reprofiled the grounds creating a retaining wall and extensive patio to the rear, laid a shingle drive and restored the pond.
