Tumbledown barns to high-end holiday lets
Clear site. New walls using reclaimed bricks. Create feature trusses and oak frameworks. New roofs and floors. Landscape courtyards & grounds.
Stowe Building Contractors was commissioned to transform this group of disused farm buildings near Aldeburgh into three high-end holiday apartments.
The job started with site clearance retaining original walls where viable. New walls were constructed using bricks reclaimed from the site. Existing walls were repointed and new roofs made using feature trusses created in our own joinery workshop. Our joinery workshop also made all of the oak work that is a feature throughout the development. We fitted new timber flooring throughout.
In the largest apartment, we constructed a beautiful feature fireplace and created a timber screen for the bath in the main bedroom. This apartment also included a glazed link with doors to the courtyard. We completed all of the hard landscaping including the construction of a large raised-bed in the courtyard.
