Building Bridges

Our new oak footbridge is now emerging from the reads at the Food Museum, Stowmarket.

Having spent several weeks taking shape in the hands of our talented bespoke joinery team in Marlesford it is now being installed in its permanent home at the Food Museum.

Our construction team are working aboard a floating raft as they anchor the main structure to the banks of the moat and bolt together the hand-crafted oak frame.

When complete, the footbridge will enable visitors to access a whole new area of the museum.

The bridge is designed by Jon Pattle (Architect and museum volunteer) with Modece Architects and structural engineers J P Chick & Partners
