Primary School refreshed

Bealings Primary School in Suffolk has received a fresh lease of life with interior redecoration and a new roof.

Working on behalf of Suffolk County Council under the direction of Concertus as part of the Suffolk Framework, Stowe Building Contractors worked through the holidays to remove the old roof and make a new one. Encountering asbestos in the old roof threatened to delay the programme but our team worked hard to make sure that children were able to return to the school when the new term started.

The largely open-plan layout can make the main rooms of the school vulnerable to excessive noise so while the scaffold was in place for the redecoration, we installed acoustic baffling to the ceiling which has made a big difference.
