Farmhouse modernised and doubled in size
Total modernisation with side-extension and double-garage
The owner of this detached 1950’s farmhouse wanted to create a modern family home with generous space for entertaining. This required the construction of a side-extension effectively doubling the size of the original house.
A zink-roofed single-story gable to the rear provided the opportunity for expansive glazing enabling an impressive connection with the garden and fields beyond.
The existing property was completely stripped back and refinished with new flooring, doors, and windows. This allowed us to create a seamless union between the original and newly-built parts of the building.
We made bespoke cabinets for some parts of the house and installed a new kitchen and bathrooms. Outside we created a new double-garage and lean-to log store as well as laying paving front and rear.
